    very nice partially restored 100% original North Carolina license plate. 1913 issue; number 12693.  12 by 6 inches; white legend on green background.
    the plate lies completely straight and flat, with excellent original porcelain as seen in the photos.  missing parts have had replacement metal competently welded in place, and the pitting has been filled.  just needs paint.
    porcelain plates are fragile, because the coating is literally glass fused to the steel.  to protect it from damage, the plate will be packed carefully for transport.
