This is to connect a Standard Sankey keg connector to a barbed shank. this is the practically the only shank that is used in standard towers.
Are you having trouble with a foamy pour? do you have to turn the pressure all the way down and you end up with flat beer? try a balanced beer line for the best draft beer experience.
Although every situation requires a different length, this kit will provide you with the materials to quickly, and easily install a balanced beer line without tools, other than a wrench. This system attaches to your Sanke tap, and connects to the back of a standard shank on your beer faucet. Attach the tube at both ends by pushing it into the speedfit push-in fittings and you're ready to go!
If your system requires less length in beer line, you can shorten it, or leave it at the standard of 10'. If you leave the tube longer than you need, it may pour the beer slowly, but will not affect the overall performance of your pour. if you want to shorten the line, you need to cut it with a tube cutter, or you can carefully cut it with a sharp kitchen knife or razor blade. be sure to make a clean perpendicular cut, and it leave it a bit longer than you think you need.
Don't know how long your line should be? search Balanced beer line on the internet and you can find out using an online calculator. For tubing size, use 3/16" ID.
This package features two (2) 5/8" bsp(p) threaded connector, by DMFit, with washers to seal to a standard kegging system here in the US. This also features reducers, by John Guest, to function with the tubing provided. Tubing is ten (10) feet long, has an ID of .170" and is premium John Guest tubing.
Installation requires a wrench to tighten the fittings. no clamps, no Oetiker tools!
Longer tubing is available for a small additional fee.
As with any draught system, all tubing and fittings should be chilled to ensure optimum performance, and to reduce breakout of CO2 in the lines.
Tubing, fittings and washer only. Only what is shown in the first picture is what you get. Metal fittings used for demonstration purposes only. Ball lock disconnect not included. Shank not included.
