For use on Kawasaki, Briggs & Stratton, Kohler and Tecumseh engines with solenoid shift starters. This kit makes sure that full battery voltage is getting to the solenoid activation terminal when cranking the engine. It became popular on the John Deere 318 tractors but since has been used on models 160, 165, 170, 175, 185, STX30, STX38, STX46, F510, F525, 316, 420, 240, 260, 245, 265, 285, 320, and many more. If you are having trouble with the starter just clicking even when the battery is good then this may be your answer. Over time, safety switches get weak and don't allow the full amperage of current to flow thru. This causes a no-crank situation. This relay will divert the current to solve the issue without replacing all the safety switches.
